JJ Publishing Group is a legacy-driven independent publishing company founded to preserve and advance the pioneering work of Noella Charest-Papagno, an entrepreneur and author recognized for coining the term “Desairology” in 1980 after launching JJ Publishing and publishing her first book on the field of Desairology.
Her foundational contributions established a specialized branch of cosmetology. Also known as mortuary makeup, funeral cosmetology, and mortuary cosmetology.
With a catalog of more than 13 published titles, Charest-Papagno’s innovative methods and educational frameworks shaped the development of Desairology books and workbooks and Elderly Care series workbook. These programs have been adopted by cosmetology schools across the country.
The company was revitalized by her grandson, Joseph Navarro, who now leads JJ Publishing Group with a commitment to safeguarding her legacy while expanding the company’s reach into new areas of educational publishing. JJ Publishing Group remains dedicated to upholding the standards, vision, and professional integrity established by its founder.
